Any layer works specifically fitting 3 different goals: to wick the moisture away from your body and sending it out to evaporate; to provide warmth without bulk meanwhile being quick drying, and finally, to protect against the outer elements.

The i4 Fleece Range, made from Polartec® Classic 200, is highly breathable and provides vital warmth. The range is technically styled with flat seams for increased comfort when layering.

The i5 Crosswind Performance mid layers, constructed from one of Gill's fully waterproof, breathable and durable 2 Dot™ fabrics. They have taped seams, water-resistant zips and a quick drying fleece lining. Because they are waterproof they are also ideal to keep you dry when worn on their own. Nylon tactel ripstop shell with hydrophillic PU coating on the inside and a durable water repellent treatment on the outside. The lining is 100% polyester fleece.

The outer layer is where the real protection against the elements takes place and it must be completely water and windproof. In order to work most efficiently, the fabric will be breathable and it will let the moist air escape that’s built up inside the garment.

Softshell is a highly breathable and waterproof fabric with stretch qualities that offer incredible fit and freedom of movement. The jacket, introduced last year, is a great technical mid layer but also works well and looks good as an outer layer.
